It can be a challenge sometimes to get the priorities right, and although this section is about me and my business, I think it is important to start with you. Ask yourself: -

Why did you go into business?

What do you want from it short/medium and long term?

Have you thought about an exit plan and what action you need to take to maximise the big payday? Succession planning can be key here.
Do you have the appropriate and complementary skills around you?

How self-aware are you?

How do you cope in areas like attraction, retention and management of employees, people recruitment and development?
What about that perceived negative downsizing of the business? Do you need some sanity back by getting back to something which is more manageable and realistic, but profitable?

My entire purpose is to help you with whatever your objectives are, and if you are not sure, then let’s develop some.

I am an experienced and passionate business advisor who believes in a straightforward and honest approach to supporting business owners to achieve all they can and want.

I have been fortunate enough to enjoy success in the past, however, it is the incredible experiences which arose from the challenging times which I draw on now, for the benefit of my clients.

I have been partially or fully involved in five start-up businesses and was able to see them grow and excel.

I led a Management Buyout to the value of three million pounds and have ten years of experience of being a Managing Director of a fifty-five employee, four location business covering a number of sectors including Financial Services, Accountancy, Construction and Logistics.

I have been heavily involved in many growth strategies for both several clients and myself, including employee attraction, retention and management being key to the success every time. I am also passionate about working with owners who are committed to change, regardless of the meaning of this to each individual.

It is not always about the growth of financial numbers, as sometimes getting some sanity back is key. It is crucial that the short-, medium- and long-term goals of a business are clear, achievable and are focused on to maximise the value or goal of the business.

What you can expect from me is real honesty and the occasional verbal kick up the backside, along with zero faffing about and absolutely no sugar-coating. But you can also expect a dual celebration of your wins and having back-up when things get tough. I’ve lived the highs and lows of the business journey, and I will ensure you hit the highs and minimise the lows.

My experiences have provided me with a platform to support through what I would call the three key stages of a business: -

  • Start-up

  • Growth

  • Exit

The videos you see on the site reflect some brief thoughts on each area mentioned above.

What working with me includes:

You will often know when you need to make a call, organise a conversation, or meet to discuss the challenges of the day, week, or month.

Dependant on the business size and complexities, I can meet for a full day or half a day to provide support. This can be done face to face or online, which enables meetings anywhere and at any time.

Clients use me for board meetings, operations meetings, one to one with the owner(s) or even senior management, and I advise on strategy, recruitment, growth, a sounding board and many more scenarios.

If this sounds like something you want to do, then get in touch with me. I am happy to have a chat with you.
